Tips for Hiring Contractors

Most people have heard nightmare stories about construction companies which leaves many apprehensive about hiring and dealing with a contractor.  Marx Construction has encountered the same stories from his clients and seen endless construction nightmares. Get educated by learning tips for hiring a construction company.

1. Check their references- references are critical and bad contractors will give you false references. Be careful who they provide as references and make sure to check their work
   
2. Get Multiple Bids  - check the bid price and make sure it is comparable to what the market says. Cheaper isn't always better!
   
3. Hire A Reputable Company - Consider a company that has the ability to perform, come through, and finish the job. 
   
4. Don't Be Afraid Of Large Companies- The larger the company the better quality workers there are and a company who won’t go out of business.
   
5. Know The Timeline - Make sure the company you hire has a strict timeline and won't drag out the project.
